I admit that it is good to be not where I was a year ago when I was well and truly in the Abyss without a job or a future. Now I have a job, which is a step up, but there is still the matter of the future.
So I decided to start a new project. I don't know if reading those books are what I need at the moment. I go to work and it has a very low work volume and I spend a lot of my time just waiting for the day to be over.
I thought that I might as well give a go to writing Occam's Brain. First evening I came home and put in about three hours for just under three thousand words, which is not a bad output. I just have to keep moving. If I write a thousand words every day, then I can be at 60,000 words in two months. And then we'll see what happens. I still have to last until late October in this job before I'm off of my six-month probation and don't have to pay back any of the moving costs.
One day at a time.
